Gifts Card Vault ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile application for storing and organising your own gift cards. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Gifts Card Vault has no user accounts and no backend server. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere for such information to be sent.
Specifically, the app does not:
The following is written to a private database inside the app's own sandboxed storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. It never leaves the device:
We operate no server or database that holds this information. We cannot see your cards, and we cannot recover them for you if you lose your device or uninstall the app.

Gifts Card Vault does not request microphone access, location, contacts, or any other permission beyond the two above.
Text recognition on scanned cards and PDFs runs entirely on your device using the operating system's own on-device recognition. Card images and documents are never sent to a server for processing.
Gifts Card Vault lets you share a card as an image, or transfer it to another Gifts Card Vault user via a QR code. In both cases the sharing happens directly through your own device — the QR code contains the card data itself and works completely offline. Nothing passes through our systems.
Once you share a card, whoever receives it can use it, so only share cards with people you trust. Gifts Card Vault always asks before sharing, and including the PIN is a separate choice each time.

Because nothing is backed up to us or to any cloud service, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — by you or by us.
Gifts Card Vault is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Privacy laws in many regions give you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information a company holds about you. We hold no personal information about you at all, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. The card data on your phone is entirely under your own control and can be deleted at any time as described above.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a future version of the app ever introduces optional accounts or online features, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
